Details on the Maker Space at our Development Center
If you're interested in utilizing the Maker Space, it's just $8 extra with any play admission or membership.
Keep in mind that children under 12 need to be supervised by an adult at all times while in the Maker Space. The area contains items that may cause harm if used improperly, and it's easy to make a mess in there, so it's best to be vigilant.
If you decide to explore the Maker Space later during your visit, you can always add it on.
Remember, the Maker Space is always an $8 add-on and is not included in any membership or bundle of passes.
-
You get 2 free adults per child’s play admission. Any additional adults will need to purchase a $15 admission.

Ensuring Safe Play: The Importance of Adult Supervision in our Play Space
At our play space, we take safety seriously. We've taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that our facility is as safe as possible. However, while we do our part to keep the space secure, we ask that parents and guardians share the responsibility by actively supervising their children.
If you or your child fail to abide by our policies or code of conduct, we reserve the right to ask you to leave without a refund. We've only had to do this once, and we appreciate your cooperation in making sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe while using our play space.
It's important to note that our play space is designed for children with a wide range of developmental needs. We ask that visitors be respectful of each other's differences and practice inclusivity while using our facility. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring safe and enjoyable play for all!

Guidelines for Maintaining a Safe & Inclusive Facility
In order to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone, we kindly request that you comply with the following guidelines:
~ All children must be directly supervised by an adult to ensure their safety.
~ Use inside voices while in the facility. Screaming is not permitted.
~ Play gently and avoid roughhousing, wrestling, or throwing objects.
~ The nursery garden is reserved for children under 2 years old. Please refrain from bringing older children into this area (even if they are siblings), and do not remove any equipment from it.
~ Climbing up the outside OR inside of the slide, play structure, or lego trees and walls is prohibited.
~ Do not jump off the wall into the ball pit.
~ If your child has vomited in the last 48 hours, has diarrhea, or is currently ill, we kindly ask that you do not bring them to the facility.
~ We encourage you to report any concerns or issues that may arise during your visit. If an accident occurs, any equipment is damaged, children are not being supervised correctly, or if there is any maintenance requirement, please notify us immediately. We are dedicated to maintaining a hygienic and secure environment, and we appreciate your cooperation in this regard. If you have any concerns at all, please do not hesitate to inform us, as we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable playing experience for everyone.

These providers must remain with the client and are responsible for their own conduct and insurance.
Non-Clinical Environment: While many of our activities and environments are designed to be developmentally beneficial, our programs are recreational and educational in nature and are not a substitute for licensed therapy or medical services.
Mandated Reporting: All Mendo LEAP staff are trained mandated reporters under California law and are legally obligated to report any suspected abuse or neglect.

To maintain the cleanliness of the play area, food and drinks must be kept outside of the designated play area. While you are welcome to bring your drinks and snacks, we would appreciate it if you could keep them to a minimum. For your convenience, we offer coffee, tea, cold drinks, and a snack bar with a variety of options available for purchase.
You are welcome to utilize the seating in the entryway or in the Green Room. The tables in the Maker space are reserved exclusively for Maker Space use. Thank you for your cooperation!

As of now, we are not accepting reservations. Our new facility has room for plenty of friends to come play, so there's no need to reserve in advance.
However, if you're coming from out of town or have any concerns about availability, please feel free to call us ahead of time to check for availability upon your arrival. We also try to post capacity notifications to our social media on days when higher attendance is expected (school holidays, extreme heat or cold, rainstorms, etc.)
