Autism and Brain Symmetry
Neurotypical brains? They tend to have a little left-right shimmy going on, especially when it comes to talking (see our last blog!)
But hold onto your hats! Emerging research reveals that folks on the autism spectrum might be rocking some seriously symmetrical brain vibes.

“Left Brained” vs “Right Brained”
There is a popular belief that people tend to be either “Right-Brained” or “Left-Brained.” You may have heard someone say this in casual conversation or media: “oh, she’s so left-brained” or “I’m not right-brained enough to get that.” But have you ever wondered what it means?

The Partnerships We’ve Made in the Community Part 3 of 5: Path to Possibilities
Path to Possibilities has been hosting our monthly Neurodiversity Nights with us (formerly known as Family Nights) since Summer 2023. When we started, Andrea would present them as parenting support classes. Andrea and Chris Alesi are the husband-and-wife team behind Path to Possibilities. Andrea is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Chris is an Independent Facilitator. Both Andrea and Chris have donated their time and expertise to Mendo LEAP’s program design and development, which has truly enriched our offerings and services.
